Custom Backend Developer
Location: Cincinnati, OH. REMOTE
Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend services using Python and FastAPI. • Build and manage microservices that are robust, secure, and scalable. • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, DevOps, and product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices. • Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring solutions. • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience in backend development using Java (Spring Boot preferred). • 2+ years of experience with FastAPI or similar Python web frameworks. • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and API security. • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure.
