Maintenance Technician - Conveyor Systems (Distribution Center)

Candidate Source is hiring on behalf of a leading

distribution center in Ashland, VA . We're looking for a

hands-on Maintenance Technician

to keep fast-moving conveyor and packaging systems running safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined technician who's worked in a

warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment

and enjoys troubleshooting a variety of systems - from conveyors to building maintenance.

Schedule

Monday-Thursday: 7:00am-5:30pm (4) 10 hour shifts Day shift with flexibility for weekend or night coverage as needed Full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with room to grow What You'll Do Maintain and repair

powered conveyor systems , including 480V motors, sensors, and 24V/120V control wiring Troubleshoot

VFDs, photo eyes, scanners, and sortation equipment

to keep product moving through the facility Perform

preventive maintenance

and assist with repairs on

packaging equipment, forklifts, and facility systems

(lighting, plumbing, HVAC, etc.) Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics and manuals Document all work performed in the

CMMS system

and follow safety/lockout procedures Support shift coverage and respond to maintenance calls as needed What We're Looking For Mechanical and electrical repair experience , ideally in a

distribution or logistics setting Hands-on experience with

conveyor systems, scanners, photo eyes, and checkweighers Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics Comfortable troubleshooting

480V and 24V control systems Basic computer skills and prior CMMS experience preferred Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in warm/dusty environments Willing to work occasional

weekend or night shift
