Fleetzero
Fleetzero is building the future of maritime, and our technology and engineering experts are primed and ready for the next phase of growth from prototypes to reliable production.
We're hiring a hands-on procurement and logistics leader to stand up our systems, build vendor partnerships, and create a pipeline ready for reliable production. You'll have real ownership, decision rights, and the freedom to implement change, and to build a team as we scale.
What you'll do
Build and manage the procure-to-pay (P2P) process, covering requisition through payment. Select, implement, and own our enterprise resource planning (ERP) / manufacturing resource planning (MRP) / product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, including workflow design and training. Create and maintain the item and supplier master data as well as bill of materials (BOM) structures aligned with Engineering, Finance, and Quality. Drive the new product introduction (NPI) process, ensuring materials readiness through engineering validation test (EVT), design validation test (DVT), and production validation test (PVT) stages. Source, qualify, and negotiate suppliers, contract manufacturers (CMs), and electronic manufacturing services (EMS) partners. Establish master service agreements (MSAs), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and supplier scorecards focused on quality, delivery, and cost. Set reorder points (ROP) and safety stock, lead inventory counts, and maintain high (>98%) accuracy. Own logistics: Incoterms (international commercial terms), import/export documentation, harmonized tariff schedule (HTS) and export control classification number (ECCN) coding, freight, and third-party logistics (3PL) relationships. Manage change control through engineering change orders (ECO) and engineering change notices (ECN). As we grow, hire and mentor buyers, planners, and logistics coordinators. What you'll bring
5-10 years in procurement or supply chain for a hardware company (robotics, aerospace, industrial, medical devices, or energy). Led at least two NPI cycles from prototype to production. Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP/PLM selection and configuration. Strong supplier negotiation skills for mechanical and electrical components; experience with CMs or EMS partners. Knowledge of BOM management, ECO/ECN, inventory control, cost analysis, and total cost of ownership (TCO). Familiarity with Incoterms, import/export logistics, freight modes, and 3PLs. Data fluency (Excel or Google Sheets; SQL a plus) and a bias for action. Startup mindset - you can design the process in the morning and receive parts that afternoon. Nice to have
Exposure to ISO 9001/AS9100, RoHS/REACH, and/or ITAR/EAR. Familiarity with S&OP/SIOP and demand/supply planning. Background in PCBA, precision machining, or complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
$100,000 - $150,000 a year
All roles are expected to include intermittent or occasional travel as the business needs.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in most full time offers and are considered part of Fleetzero's total compensation package.
