Tuesday - Friday, 10-hour day shift; 6am - 4:30pm. No call, no weekends.
Job Description
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals. The technologist ensures high quality testing on patients, utilizing training in the safe use of radioactive materials and sophisticated imaging equipment to deliver quality health care across all age groups.
Responsibilities
Review provider's orders and consult with the Radiologist as necessary. Complete departmental processes for resulting and documentation of exams. Demonstrate a complete working knowledge of all equipment in the Nuclear Medicine department. Prepare, calibrate, document accurately, and administer radiopharmaceuticals by injection, ingestion, and inhalation methods. Perform SPECT imaging and evaluate recorded images for technical quality. Maintain a daily activities log and oversee supply inventory for the Nuclear Medicine area. Conduct quality assurance tests on all equipment and ensure adherence to safety standards. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
One year of Nuclear Medicine experience required. Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program. NYS license/registration required. ARRT or CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine required. CPR certification required. Why ARMStaffing?
