Shifts include two eight-hour shifts and two twelve-hour shifts, preferably from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM on eight-hour days. Weekends and holidays are scheduled as needed.
Job Description
The Pediatric Operating Room Nurse will work in a high-volume surgical setting, handling 15-28 cases per day, including procedures such as tonsillectomies, hypospadias repairs, rectus muscle surgeries, craniotomies, cardiac surgeries, and orthopedic procedures. This position involves scrubbing, although it is not mandatory. The nurse will also serve as the Charge RN during the midnight shift and must be willing to float to various units.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care in the pediatric operating room. Assist with scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures. Fulfill Charge RN duties during designated shifts. Participate in on-call rotations, including 1 call shift per week and 1-2 weekend calls. Ensure compliance with mandatory standby requirements and respond within a 30-minute timeframe. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Current BLS certification is required. Registered Nurse (RN) license is necessary for submission. Previous operating room experience is preferred. Why ARMStaffing?
