As a CNC Machinist 4, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring various CNC machines, often managing multiple setups simultaneously. Interpreting blueprints and tooling instructions will ensure accurate machining, while inspecting parts verifies quality standards. Tasks include editing and optimizing CNC programs, troubleshooting equipment and process issues, and providing feedback to programmers. Coordinating team activities, supporting production scheduling, and training team members will help maintain quality and efficiency. Additionally, maintaining accurate documentation, a safe work environment, and supporting 6S initiatives are essential. Clear communication and collaboration with other departments contribute to smooth production flow and the achievement of production goals.
These CNC Machinist 4 positions require a High School Diploma or GED and at least 7 years of relevant experience, including CNC programming or prior programming knowledge. Candidates must be proficient in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, GD&T, and possess complete knowledge of G and M codes. Strong problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication and organizational skills are also necessary. Physically, the role demands the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, frequent standing, walking, sitting, and dexterity with hands and fingers, as well as the ability to perform occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing stairs or ladders. A commitment to maintaining safe equipment operation and working in a dynamic, physically active environment is required.
