Travel PICU RN Job Details Location: Columbus, OH 43205 (Ohio travel nursing job) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (November 17, 2025 – February 16, 2026) Estimated Weekly Pay: $2250 - $2310 Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Setting: Critical Care PICU Float Pool Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents Orientation: 72 hours PICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent PICU nursing experience in a Level 1 trauma or acute care facility (must be current and listed in work history) Active Ohio or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of application BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system (self-rate at least 3/4) Two supervisory references required (at least one from a manager or supervisor) Must not have worked permanently at the facility within the past 2 years No local candidates within a 60-mile radius (travel nursing candidates only) Ability and willingness to float to NICU, CV PICU, Emergency Department, stepdown, and MedSurg units as needed Travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers considered with 3 years of PICU experience PICU RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU and float pool Administer medications, blood products, and manage acute/chronic renal failure, antiarrhythmics, and IV vasopressors Perform advanced procedures: arterial line management, chest tube assistance, intubation support, ventilator management, and central/PICC line care Monitor and interpret arterial blood gases, dysrhythmias, and hemodynamic parameters Implement infection control, wound care, and isolation precautions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EHR Float to NICU, CV PICU, Emergency Department, stepdown, and MedSurg units as assigned Apply now to join our healthcare team as a travel PICU Registered Nurse in Columbus, Ohio.
