We areseeking an experienced OB Hospitalist Physician to provide locum coverage at aLevel III hospital in Davenport, Iowa. The position offers flexible 12- or24-hour hospital call shifts with weekend coverage and a supportive workenvironment.
AssignmentDetails: Shift Type:
12-hour (8 AM - 8 PM) or 24-hour (8 AM - 8 AM) hospital call shifts Schedule:
Monday-Friday with some weekends; NO OVERTIME Call Ratio
: 1:5, schedule available 1-2 months in advance Practice Setting
: OB & GYN, hospital-based, trauma Level III On-Call Requirements:
12 or 24 hours, flat rate with on-site sleep room provided KeyResponsibilities:
Obstetrics:
Manage low-risk pregnancies (e.g., twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis) Manage high-risk pregnancies (e.g., toxemia, diabetes, Class II+ cardiac, chronic lung/renal disease) FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE Perform OB Level I/screening ultrasounds (viability) Amniocentesis Labor& Delivery:
Routine deliveries: vaginal, low-forceps, decision-making for C-section Complicated deliveries: C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions VBACs Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Gynecology:
Open surgical gynecology Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromal tubation) Operative/major procedures including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs
Qualifications:
Board Certified in OB/GYN (FM OB not accepted) Active Iowa license or IMLC with LOQ at time of submission Fetal monitoring experience Davenport is a vibrant city along the Mississippi River, part of the QuadCities region, offering rich cultural attractions, riverfront parks, and strongcommunity amenities.
