The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below; and specific functions may change from time to time. Delivers and documents care according to hospital policies, procedures, and philosophies. Follows strict aseptic technique at all times. Uses sterile technique when indicated. Observes and reports all patient concerns and changes in condition to a Nurse immediately. Safely transports patients, supplies, and specimens. Respects patient's privacy rights, respects values of individual patients, and provides care accordingly. Assists with orientation of new employees. Completes all annual competencies. Assists with unit cleanliness. Performs other duties that may be assigned. Complies with Corporate Policies, Procedures, and Personnel Employee Handbook. Must be able to cross-train to other units. Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills. Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration. Participates in unit meetings. Participates in quality improvement activities including serving on quality improvement teams.
