Software Development Engineer 4 Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Software Development Engineer for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The Senior Ruby on Rails Contractor role requires the ability to move fast, own projects end-to-end, and deliver production-ready features with minimal oversight. Work spans a modern stack—Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, and MySQL—to ship features that make a real difference. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: This person will be responsible for building targeted in-product messages for users with advanced targeting logic and integration without breaking existing UI and features. The candidate will work with the sponsor as the PM and occasionally with designers. I will review and ship PRs. Develop and enhance front-end features using React and TypeScript. Write efficient, maintainable SQL for MySQL databases. Take ownership of projects from concept to production. Debug, optimize, and ship code quickly with attention to quality. Collaborate directly with product and design teams to define technical solutions. Ensure code quality through thoughtful reviews and testing. Qualifications:Degree or Certification: There are no specific degrees/certifications needed for the role. HTML - 5 years CSS - 5 years JS - 5 years 9 years of professional experience with web development. Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails, React, and TypeScript. Deep understanding of MySQL schema design and performance tuning. Proven ability to work independently and deliver results quickly. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
