The Facilities Manager will oversee various maintenance project responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site project management and quality assurance support services.

Review and scope Facility Engineering Work Requests (FEWRs).

Provide direct control over all day-to-day aspects of the contract and exercise broad latitude for independent judgment and discretion without direct or intermediate supervision.

Communicate customer needs, suggestions and opinions to appropriate corporate staff. Serve as the primary link between the customer and the company.

Provide objective insight and expertise critical to the development of a responsive operating project.

Ensure that all emergencies are responded to immediately.

Implement the Quality Control (QC) Program and other plans for the project.

Conduct inspections to assure that quality and performance are in conformance with the QC Plan.

Implement systematic and effective operational techniques and workflow procedures that will enhance efficiency and quality.

Produce reports and maintain records of all inspections performed and ensure all records/reports are filed and submitted as required.

Interpret contract specifications and translate outcome into workforce efforts.

Initiate and complete change order requests to a pre-authorized level.

Provide training suggestions and/or revisions to the Operations Manager for review prior to submittal.

Establish and maintain an effective cost control system.

Manage project expenditures within authorized budget limits.

Be responsible for site compliance with training and safety requirements as communicated in the Operations Manual.

Establish personnel performance objectives, monitor results.

Qualifications

Five (5) years of recent (within the last 7 years) management supervisory experience of building mechanical operations and maintenance for buildings.

Demonstrated ability with the English language in reading, writing and oral communication.

Knowledge and experience with heating/refrigeration, air conditioning (HVAC), including digital data control system.
