Job Title Senior Tax Associate/Supervisor – Private Client Group (Estate Planning Services and Tax Compliance Services)
Responsibilities
Prepare individual, trust, estate, gift and foundation tax returns
Prepare estate and trust fiduciary accountings
Provide high level personal financial and estate compliance services
Review tax information supplied by clients and provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations
Supervise, train, mentor and evaluate tax associates
Perform tax research and respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities
Stay current on new tax legislation
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required; Master’s in Taxation preferred
3+ year’s progressive experience in public accounting required
CPA certification or demonstrated progress towards obtaining CPA certification preferred
Experience in individual, estate, trust and gift tax preparation, fiduciary accounting and research software required
Knowledge of Federal, State and Local tax laws
Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
Must be able to work additional hours as needed to meet client deliverables
Compensation & Benefits Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications.
