Lead earned media strategy and execution for clients, collaborating with account teams and specialists (creative, planning, analytics, digital, and creator marketing). Develop integrated earned media strategies across consumer/lifestyle media landscapes and top-tier outlets; craft newsworthy storylines and themes. Counsel executives and the C-Suite on effective earned media strategies; manage social/digital platforms and asset management with familiarity in production and video storytelling. Strategize to connect reporters with the right stories at the right time; ensure strategies are newsworthy from inception and advance client business goals. Demonstrate strong networking, writing, and presentation skills; manage projects and budgets; delegate work; oversee a high volume of short- and long-term assignments; supervise junior team members and support their career development. Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of experience in earned media and media relations. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in an agency environment strongly preferred. Ability to digest diverse accounts and translate material into newsworthy storylines and themes. Established relationships with reporters across verticals and media outlets with success securing media from top-tier outlets; experience with print, online, broadcast, podcasts, video, and social content. Strong client counselor with ability to educate clients on earned media’s role and articulate the current media landscape. Excellent storytelling skills and ability to provide sound media counsel to clients and colleagues. Proven ability to develop, manage, and implement media relations strategies across communications channels. AP style and grammar proficiency. Ability to research, interview, write, and edit a range of media communications (press releases, media alerts, pitches, briefing books, post-project recap reports). Experience drafting complex client correspondence and strategies/program recommendations. Proven ability to manage large projects (including budgets) and small teams; serve as daily client contact; develop and execute plans to meet client goals. Additional Information
