About the Role The VP, Revenue is a senior leadership role in the mid‑market media business unit responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing the unit’s commercial performance, and leading the alignment of new business, marketing, and revenue. As a core member of the leadership team, you will be deeply involved in business direction and goal setting, revenue‑based decision‑making, pipeline health, and innovation in revenue channels. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership to shape our go‑to‑market approach, lead pricing and profitability decisions, and develop capabilities that position Monks for sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

Commercial & Strategic Leadership

Lead business direction, revenue strategy, and goal‑setting in collaboration with agency and executive teams

Drive oversight of all revenue activities, proactively recommending business and growth priorities, pipeline health, and opportunities for expansion

Own forecasting, reporting, and analysis for all revenue channels; adjusting strategies as needed, and partnering on monthly financial reviews

Develop and innovate new revenue sources and channels (e.g., partnerships, vendor lists, pitch consultants)

Align planning and execution across new business, marketing, and revenue operations functions

Direct service and capability development based on market trends and agency performance

Lead key pricing negotiations, provide profitability guidance, and drive decisions on client upstreaming and pricing changes

Business Development & Marketing

Oversee the new business process alongside a team of sellers: leading pitch qualification, resource coordination, case library and RFP responses, and direct involvement in strategic pitches

Responsible for confirming staffing, pricing, and planning for new account wins

Collaborate with team leaders to ensure accurate new client resourcing and pipeline tracking

Oversee and align the marketing department’s work with revenue objectives, brand positioning, and ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) strategy

Set marketing goals and KPIs, ensuring marketing initiatives drive measurable impact on revenue and brand value

Maintain a best‑in‑class enablement suite: pitch decks, sales tools, product demos, and strategic documentation

Client Growth & Retention

Oversee and coach on renewals, cross‑sells, and pricing strategies for existing clients to drive retention and expansion

Direct involvement in high‑stakes renewal and procurement conversations

Build and reinforce a culture of revenue contribution and commercial acumen within the accounts team

Proactively manage and track revenue opportunities, forecasts, and client context to maximize renewals and upsell rates

Team Leadership & Operations

Directly manage leaders in marketing and new business

Coach and develop direct reports, oversee PRs, and drive clarity in team roles, hiring, and bandwidth needs

Strategically allocate resources across programs that most directly influence revenue growth and team efficiency

Routinely review contracts at a high level of attention to detail

Drive continuous improvement in processes, technology, and reporting throughout the revenue cycle

Qualifications

10+ years in revenue‑focused leadership roles across business development, marketing, sales operations, or revenue operations, ideally in agency or media environments

Experience in setting business strategy, leading forecasting, and managing P&L for agency or high‑growth commercial businesses

Proven leadership in developing high‑performing teams in marketing, sales, or revenue operations functions

Demonstrated ability to innovate new revenue channels, own complex negotiations, and influence executive decision‑makers

Advanced skills in commercial analytics, revenue reporting, pipeline management, and CRM or revenue operations tooling

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including c‑suite and board‑level engagement

Compensation Salary Range: $220,000—$235,000 USD

This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. The specific details, including the number of required office days, will be in accordance with the company’s then‑current RTO policy, which is subject to change from time to time.
