Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
CNC Machinist III
to join our advanced aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for manufacturing complex, high-precision parts from materials such as
aluminum, titanium, and high-temperature alloys
with minimal supervision. You’ll also help guide and train junior machinists while overseeing multiple CNC machines, including large
5-axis machining centers .
The
CNC Machinist III
will play a key leadership role in ensuring quality, precision, and efficiency across the machining department—contributing to company success in
Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Attitude (QCDSA) . This is an exceptional opportunity for a master machinist ready to take ownership of production excellence in a world-class aerospace facility.
Essential Responsibilities
Guide and train
CNC Machinists I & II
on setting up and operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes.
Read and interpret
complex blueprints, tolerances, and work instructions
to plan machining operations.
Perform detailed
in-process inspections
using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM, etc.).
Make
program edits, offset adjustments, and calculations
to maintain tight tolerances.
Monitor machine performance, ensure tooling accuracy, and maintain consistent part quality.
Lead
root cause investigations
and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure regular equipment maintenance and promote
safety-first work practices .
Maintain accurate
production and inspection records
per AS9100 standards.
Direct and assist with
deburring, finishing, and inspection of parts
for precision fit and finish.
Maintain a
clean, organized, and efficient workspace .
Use and edit
G-code
and CNC control parameters as needed for advanced machining.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of a
CNC machining certificate or vocational training program
preferred.
Experience
7–10+ years
of CNC machining experience in
aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing .
Expert-level proficiency reading
blueprints, drawings, and specifications .
Advanced use of
micrometers, calipers, and measurement tools .
Strong working knowledge of
AS9100 aerospace quality standards .
Computer Skills
Proficient in
CAD, CAM, MRP, and ERP systems .
Competent with
Microsoft Office
and related software.
Personal Attributes
High initiative with a strong commitment to
first-part quality .
Excellent
leadership, communication, and mentoring
skills.
Ability to provide technical feedback to improve
product quality and cost efficiency .
Other Requirements
Must be
legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Adherence to
OSHA, NADCAP, ISO9000/AS9100, ITAR, and FAA
standards.
May require internal certifications ( Forklift, Slings/Cranes, FPV , etc.).
Physical Requirements
Stand, walk, bend, and reach for
8–12 hours per shift .
Lift, carry, push, or pull up to
50 lbs regularly .
Tolerate
manufacturing noise, vibration, and temperature variations .
Must wear required
PPE
(safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection).
Work Environment
Active production floor environment with
moderate noise levels .
This position is designated as
Safety Sensitive
under Oklahoma law.
