Hourly Pay Range:

$49.700 – $64.130 – $71.820

Collective Bargaining Agreement:

What You Will Do Perform a wide variety of technical procedures in special modalities and general diagnostic on a regular basis with quality patient care, assisting physicians as needed.

Required Qualifications

Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements of an appropriate State and/or Federal mandated certification or equivalent.

ARRT Certificate – REQUIRED

Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy Permit – CA Department of Public Health – REQUIRED

Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) – CA Department of Public Health – REQUIRED

AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals (AHA BLS Healthcare) – REQUIRED

Venipuncture Certification – Provided by employee – REQUIRED

Preferred Qualifications

Essential Functions

Documentation management – Verify physician written orders; ensure appropriate clinical indication; begin exams in RIS; accurately complete exams in RIS, fill appropriate information (contrast, fluoroscopy time, QC, resource, technical modifiers, technologist/student/RN/Radiologist); provide correct coding of exams, billing modifiers, supplies; depart patient in RIS when appropriate; ensure film jacket properly labeled; ensure paperwork filed appropriately.

Patient and family education – Provide pre and post procedure education and reassurance; cover procedure details, duration, physician involvement, contrast administration, positioning, instructions; communicate in patient-appropriate manner; protect confidentiality.

Produce high‑quality exams – Understand and apply appropriate imaging techniques; position according to department protocols; label and identify studies correctly using legal marker set; use imaging equipment proficiently; use imaging agents (contrast) according to protocol.

Quality assurance – Verify patient identification and pregnancy status; implement safe, efficient, therapeutic care; assist radiologist in procedures while practicing sterile techniques to prevent cross‑contamination; perform proper procedure on proper patient; demonstrate knowledge of universal precautions; observe patient, report changes, initiate appropriate action; follow Advanced Directive; maintain strict confidentiality; keep work discussions professional and limited to private areas.
