Our client in Western New York is actively seeking a skilled

Quality Technician

to join their team.

This is an onsite/ full-time/temp-to-perm position Hourly based on experience: $26-$28/hr

The Quality Technician ensures that all electrical components meet industry standards, customer requirements, and AS9100 quality management system (QMS) regulations. This role involves inspecting, testing, and analyzing products and processes to maintain compliance with aerospace and manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities: Perform in-process and final inspections of electrical components and assemblies to ensure compliance with AS9100 and company quality standards. Utilize measurement tools, test equipment, and visual inspection techniques to verify product conformance. Review and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications. Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for non-conforming materials and products. Document and maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation. Conduct audits (internal and supplier) to ensure adherence to AS9100 and customer requirements. Support the development and implementation of quality procedures and work instructions. Monitor production processes for compliance with quality standards and recommend improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality. Participate in First Article Inspections (FAI) Assist with calibration and maintenance of inspection and testing equipment. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements in all quality control activities. Qualifications & Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or technical degree preferred). 2+ years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or electrical components. Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and industry-related quality systems. Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other quality inspection tools. Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and electrical schematics. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally. Visual acuity to perform detailed inspections.
