The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, in conjunction with its major teaching facility, University Health-Truman Medical Centers (UH-TMC), seeks a full-time Board Eligible or Board Certified Gynecology Oncologist Faculty member through University Health Physicians, its primary academic group practice. This Gynecology Oncologist physician will join our faculty in the Department of OB/GYN at the UH-TMC Health Sciences District and Lakewood locations in Kansas City, MO, which serve a diverse metropolitan area of approximately 2.4 million.

About UH-TMC We are a non-profit, safety net hospital serving as a tertiary referral center in western Missouri. Our mission is Academic Medicine for All - independent of race, ethnicity, gender identity, spoken language, or insurance status. Our cancer program is Commission on Cancer‑accredited and includes a dedicated team of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, nurse navigators, nutritionist, researchers, psycho‑oncologist, physical therapists, and social workers as well as many other dedicated staff.

Clinical Responsibilities

Surgical and systemic therapy care for gynecologic oncology patients in the Kansas City metropolitan area and surrounding communities.

Provide treatment for malignancies of the cervix, endometrium, fallopian tubes, ovaries, uterus, vagina, and vulva across a full continuum of services.

Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board conferences and collaborate with department and community gynecologic surgeons.

Research and Teaching

Lead research projects with fellows and residents, including contribution to the department’s research database.

Teach medical students and residents in the OB/GYN Residency Program and related fellowships (Maternal‑Fetal Medicine, Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery).

Commit to teaching and mentoring at a safety‑net teaching hospital.

Preferred Qualifications

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gynecology Oncology.

Strong commitment to teaching medical students and residents.

Experience caring for underserved populations in a safety‑net hospital setting.

Interest in clinical research.
