About the Role We are seeking a Senior Project Manager – Power Delivery to lead electric utility projects and act as a key client representative. In this role, you will manage power infrastructure services, regulatory processes, and technical project execution. This position is not a production-heavy role—you will be leading teams, coordinating efforts, and overseeing large‑scale projects from inception to completion. You will mentor junior engineers, serve as the primary client contact, and ensure that power solutions are delivered efficiently. The role requires expertise in utility power infrastructure, substations, and transmission/distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead power delivery projects for data centers, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and on schedule.
Manage technical, regulatory, and financial aspects of client projects.
Serve as the primary client contact, addressing inquiries and providing strategic guidance.
Oversee project engineering and implementation, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Develop power master plans for substations and distribution systems in data centers.
Facilitate substation development, coordinating with EPC firms for design and construction.
Mentor and manage junior engineers and project managers, ensuring team growth and development.
Lead project meetings, track schedules and budgets, and ensure quality project execution.
Work with and guide junior engineers on technical drawings, using tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, and Bluebeam.
Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to provide the best solutions to clients.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
10–15 years of experience in electric utility power infrastructure, project engineering, or construction.
Experience managing utility power projects, including medium voltage distribution, high voltage substations, utility metering, and power system design.
Strong project management background with expertise in infrastructure projects.
PE license preferred (or on track toward licensure); EIT minimum requirement.
Utility experience with transmission and distribution projects.
Experience with data center construction is a plus.
10-20% travel; must reside in or around Northern Virginia.
Up to $185k base.
Personal & Company bonuses.
