Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team. This role is scheduled for Monday–Thursday (4 days) with 10‑hour shifts. Sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance are available for eligible candidates.

Job Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent, assisting the physician in optimizing exam performance and interpretation.
Assist the physician in performing a variety of examinations using standard departmental protocols, isolation precautions and sterile technique.
Apply knowledge of IVs, heparin locks and central line usage as they pertain to MRI.
Demonstrate patient safety using side rails, braking mechanisms and patient monitoring; document and correct any adverse conditions.
Perform routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent image quality.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of radiography or nuclear medicine with MRI training; must be MRI Registry eligible through ARRT.
License: American Registered Radiologic Technologists, ARMRIT or CAMRT. CNMT certification in lieu of ARRT is acceptable. Must obtain MRI certification within 12 months of hire.
Certification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
Experience: Preferred prior experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist or MRI Technologist in a hospital/healthcare environment; recent student at Inova Health System is acceptable.
