We’re seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Grant Accountant to join our finance team. This position plays a key role in managing the financial reporting, compliance, and administration of grants and restricted funds. The ideal candidate is experienced in nonprofit or government grant accounting, highly organized, and passionate about supporting programs that make a difference.

Make your application after reading the following skill and qualification requirements for this position. Key Responsibilities Manage all financial aspects of assigned grants, including budgeting, tracking expenditures, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements.

Prepare and submit timely financial reports to granting agencies and internal stakeholders.

Review and reconcile grant-related transactions and general ledger accounts.

Monitor grant budgets to ensure expenses align with approved funding levels.

Assist with grant proposal budgets, amendments, and closeout processes.

Collaborate with program managers to ensure accurate allocation of costs and proper documentation of grant activity.

Support external audits and maintain compliance with federal, state, and foundation regulations.

Assist with other accounting functions such as month-end closing, journal entries, and reconciliations as needed.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in grant or fund accounting, preferably within a nonprofit or government-funded environment.

GAAP and grant compliance regulations.

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g.,

Sage Intacct

,

Blackbaud

,

QuickBooks

, or similar).

Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
