Overview
Position Overview:
As a Psychiatrist at Priority Group Services, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive psychiatric care to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments of children and adolescents. Formulate accurate psychiatric diagnoses based on clinical evaluations.
Treatment Planning:
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans. Implement evidence-based practices to address emotional and behavioral challenges.
Medication Management:
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as needed. Monitor and adjust medication regimens based on treatment progress.
Collaboration and Consultation:
Work closely with therapists, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate care. Provide consultation to team members regarding psychiatric aspects of cases.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with team members through written reports and meetings.
Crisis Intervention:
Participate in crisis intervention as needed. Provide support during emergency situations.
Qualifications
Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
Valid medical license in the state of New Jersey.
Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
