Job Overview Vonnegut Construction Inc., a leader in luxury residential and commercial construction, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Project Engineer to support and coordinate complex construction projects in Beverly Hills and the greater Los Angeles area. This dynamic role is integral to ensuring seamless project execution—from managing documentation and supporting on‑site operations to streamlining communication with stakeholders. The right candidate will leverage technology, organization, and technical skill to uphold Vonnegut’s high standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination:

Assist Project Managers with scheduling, planning, and workflow tracking

Manage procurement logistics and timely delivery of materials and equipment

Maintain and track project documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders)

Technical Support:

Review plans and specifications for field accuracy and code compliance

Manage construction documentation through software platforms such as Bluebeam and Procore

Attend project meetings and contribute to punch list resolution

Stakeholder Communication:

Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams

Provide routine status reports to clients and senior management

Quality & Compliance:

Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements

Identify project risks or delays and support resolution strategies

Share ideas to streamline workflows and improve project execution

Document successful processes and support their implementation across teams

Qualifications 3+ years of experience in civil engineering or construction project support (residential/commercial)

Proficiency in Bluebeam and/or Procore

Solid understanding of construction scheduling and documentation practices

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience)

Permitting experience is a plus

A collaborative, problem‑solving mindset with a focus on safety and quality

Competitive salary: $105,000 – $125,000+ per year
