The primary function of the

School Cultural Ambassador

is to promote and facilitate school climate, culture, and community. This individual will be responsible for coordinating events, strengthening staff and student engagement, building relationships with families and community partners, and creating meaningful initiatives that reflect and celebrate our school’s core values and vision.

*Please note, this position requires traveling between schools in the NY area.

Duties and responsibilities

Travel between schools and coordinate and lead school-wide events that strengthen the community, culture, and climate.

Develop and implement monthly initiatives that recognize staff who embody our school’s core values and vision.

Foster school spirit through ongoing programs and celebrations.

Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and staff to ensure events align with school values and priorities.

Partner with the marketing team to promote events, share highlights, and ensure consistent messaging across campuses.

Organize mid-year and end-of-year events for all sites, ensuring consistency and celebration across the network.

Network with surrounding communities at each school site to build strong relationships and partnerships.

Develop relationships with community organizations and local businesses to create fundraising opportunities and sponsorships that support school initiatives.

Work with the administrative team to create and host parent engagement events in October, December, April, and June.

Support communication and promotion of events through flyers, announcements, and digital platforms.

Serve as a representative of the school community, promoting inclusivity and participation.

Gather feedback on events and initiatives to continuously improve school culture.

Act as a visible and approachable resource for employees, providing support and encouragement.

Support new hire orientation by helping integrate employees into the organizational culture.

Identify opportunities to reinforce positive culture practices and traditions.

Follow‑up is essential to the success and integrity of this role.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Psychology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Minimum 3 years of experience coordinating events, initiatives, or engagement programs within an educational environment (school, district, or related organization)

Demonstrated success in planning and executing school‑wide or large‑scale events that foster culture, community, or engagement

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and positive relationships among staff, students, and families

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to groups and promoting events

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced school setting

High emotional intelligence with a genuine ability to connect, motivate, and inspire others

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Teams, and social media platforms for communication and event promotion

Creative, organized, and detail oriented.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including marketing, administration, and community partners.

Passion for building a welcoming and positive school environment.
