Overview

Chief Executive Officer – Cotuit, MA The Cahoon Museum of American Art has served the Cotuit community, Cape Cod, and greater New England continuously since 1984, providing a rich experience of 19th, 20th, and 21st century American art unlike any other institution in the area. The Cahoon is housed in a pre-Revolutionary War structure erected in 1775 by Ebenezer Crocker, one of the seven 18th century buildings located at the intersection of Route 28 and 130 in Cotuit, Massachusetts. Heralded for its imaginative programming and creative shows, the Cahoon thoughtfully juxtaposes the old and the new, marrying historic and contemporary pieces in a way that situates the work of living artists within a broader narrative context and which proffers a novel perspective while remaining respectful of the artistic antecedents that created space for new ideas to emerge. The Cahoon mounts six to eight major exhibitions annually, serves a growing population of children and adults with a rich variety of art education programs, and hosts dozens of artist talks and presentations. Responsibilities

The CEO leads the museum in pursuing its mission, achieving strategic and operational goals, and enhancing the museum\'s reputation and impact.
