Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy

Provide overall direction, leadership, and vision for company operations.

Develop and execute annual business plans, budgets, and performance goals.

Build and maintain a strong organizational culture rooted in safety, accountability, and teamwork.

Represent Granite Concrete within the community, with contractors, suppliers, and government agencies.

Operations Management

Oversee daily operations of batch plants, aggregate pits, asphalt production, and precast yard.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, environmental, and company safety standards.

Coordinate with dispatch, QC, and maintenance to ensure efficient scheduling and delivery.

Maintain equipment, fleet, and facilities in peak condition while minimizing downtime and costs.

Financial Management

Manage budgets, forecasts, and overall P&L performance.

Approve bids, contracts, and pricing structures in coordination with ownership.

Monitor margins, production efficiency, and material costs to maximize profitability.

Provide timely, accurate reporting on operational and financial results.

People Management

Recruit, train, and retain staff including CDL drivers, QC technicians, and support personnel.

Conduct leadership development, performance reviews, and corrective action when needed.

Foster cross‑division communication and alignment with company goals.

Promote a safe, positive, and respectful workplace.

Customer & Market Relations

Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, municipalities, and project owners.

Ensure on‑time delivery of high‑quality products meeting project specifications.

Identify opportunities to expand in ready‑mix, asphalt, aggregate, and precast markets.

Support marketing and branding efforts to strengthen Granite Concrete's market presence.

Qualifications Required:

7+ years of experience in construction materials, ready‑mix, or heavy‑civil operations.

Proven success managing budgets, P&L, and operational performance.

In‑depth knowledge of concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and precast production.

Familiarity with FP‑14, MDT, ASTM, AASHTO, NPCA, and related standards.

Strong leadership, communication, and people‑management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and construction/dispatch software.

OSHA/MSHA compliance training (must obtain/maintain as condition of employment).

Preferred:

Experience with rural/mountain region or multi‑site operations.

Knowledge of Montana and Idaho construction markets.

WAQTC/TTQP, ACI, or NPCA certifications.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

CDL, PMP, or other relevant certifications.
