Licensed Marriage And Family Therapist
Inward Motion Counseling Group, New York, New York, United States
Inward Motion Counseling Group
is expanding, and we’re seeking warm, grounded, and thoughtful therapists to join our growing collective. We welcome clinicians with a variety of therapeutic approaches who are committed to practicing with cultural humility, systemic awareness, and a deep respect for the lived experiences of those they serve.
About Us Inward Motion Counseling Group offers trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and relational therapy to individuals, couples, and families. Our work is rooted in flexibility, curiosity, and collaboration — both with our clients and within our team. This is a place where therapists are supported in their own growth and encouraged to bring their full (professional) selves to the work.
We’re building a collective that’s diverse in perspective, united in values, and committed to making mental health care more accessible, meaningful, and freeing.
Our Mission To help people move inward, toward self-understanding, compassion, and liberation, so they can live with more ease, connection, and authenticity in their lives and relationships.
Our Core Values Authenticity : We show up honestly and with compassion, honoring the humanity in ourselves and others. Collective Care:
Healing happens in relationship, within our team, our clients, and our communities. Collaboration : We co-create with curiosity, humility, and mutual respect — as clinicians and as a team. Equity & Inclusion:
We practice cultural humility and hold space for all identities and lived experiences. Sustainability:
We believe care should nourish, not deplete. We strive for balance in how we work and live. Curiosity & Growth:
We stay open to learning, unlearning, and evolving both personally and professionally.
What We Offer: Competitive compensation Flexible scheduling Referrals from a waiting list A supportive and values-aligned team culture Ongoing consultation and community Opportunities to contribute creatively (e.g. groups, workshops, writing, teaching if desired) Optional training and support for integrative work, including Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
Who You Are: You’re a clinician who brings both clinical skill and creative perspective into your work. You may use somatic tools, cognitive frameworks, experiential methods, expressive arts, or depth-oriented approaches — but more importantly, you know that no single method is one-size-fits-all. You’re drawn to collaboration, flexible structure, and therapeutic relationships that feel human and real. You understand that people do not exist in a vacuum, and your work reflects an understanding of the ways trauma, identity, systems, and social context shape mental health. You believe therapy should be both effective and accessible — and that healing can look different for everyone. We are especially interested in clinicians who have experience with or are passionate about:
Working with LGBTQIA+ clients, BIPOC clients, neurodivergent clients, and other historically marginalized communities
Serving individuals navigating identity, relationship dynamics, family systems, trauma, or life transitions
Offering therapy to couples, families, or nontraditional relationship structures
Bringing a fresh perspective or underrepresented modality into the practice (e.g., ACT, DBT, EMDR, somatics, sex therapy, expressive arts, brainspotting, etc.)
We encourage therapists from all backgrounds and identities to apply — especially those who want to bring their unique lens to a team that values inclusion and evolution over uniformity.
What You’ll Do: Empower Clients:
Provide exceptional therapy services to individuals, couples, and families, helping them navigate life’s challenges and achieve their personal goals. Innovate & Collaborate:
Work with a dynamic team of therapists, sharing insights and strategies to continually enhance our services and outcomes. Grow & Thrive:
Benefit from ongoing professional development opportunities, including specialized training.
What We’re Looking For:
Licensed Therapist:
Licensed in Oregon and/or Hawaii (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Clinical Psychologist) Experience & Expertise:
