Overview
Our client, a well-established leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensure the integrity of all financial reporting. This individual will play a critical role in managing the accounting team, streamlining processes, and supporting strategic business initiatives through accurate financial insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee general ledger accounting, month‑end and year‑end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering growth, accuracy, and accountability.
- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with finance leadership.
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and filing processes.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, cost savings, and areas for process improvement.
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production‑based environment highly preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills with a hands‑on approach.
