The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform has thousands of students looking for online American Sign Language tutors nationally. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—all from the comfort of your home.

Overview

The Varsity Tutors platform enables 1-on-1 online tutoring to match students with tutors who fit their learning needs. We offer flexible scheduling, remote tutoring, and tools to support effective teaching.

Responsibilities

• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.
• Earn incrementally higher pay for each session with the same student—up to $40/hour.
• Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.
• Get matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time and focus on teaching.
• We handle logistics—you invoice for sessions and payments are managed by us.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in American Sign Language and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
