Responsibilities
Responsible for creating work orders and scheduling production of fabricated parts to support Value Streams. Production Material Planner will also incorporate Engineering orders and associated change orders as needed. Reviews production work orders and schedules with Value Stream Managers (VSM) and Engineering, communicating daily priorities to the shop floor. Reviews Kanban and Material Requirement Planning requirements daily to release jobs to production through the creation of Work Orders in TETO/Unanet systems. Review overdue materials for impact to schedule, notify VSM and/or buyers of past due materials and acquire recovery date and plan. Prepare reports summarizing production-related information such as material shortages, downtime of work, and equipment. Participate in New Product Introduction or New Product Development Root Cause Corrective Action of inventory inaccuracies associated to end items and components in WIP. Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent Experience:
1+ years' experience in manufacturing environment with inventory responsibilities. Skills: Working knowledge of production planning, material requirements planning, and Kanban systems. Working knowledge of computer systems that support production (e.g., inventory control, purchasing, production scheduling, and MRP) Skilled team collaborator and communicator Ability to coordinate materials and production schedules with multiple teams, solve urgent problems associated with manufacture of products and document and communicate production outcomes and trends. Ability to learn the techniques associated with Kanban systems. Pay range
