Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Represents Quality on Daily Gemba Walks and Inspection Flow discussions for Manager in his/her absence

Provides quality expertise and internal/external training for all inspection positions in order to maintain a smooth flowing operation

Promotes working relationships between inspection personnel and other departments

Leads and assists in directing work for team of inspectors as defined by business needs

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

Leads and/or participates in Root Cause and Corrective Actions

Assists the Quality Engineers with their tasks

Inspects finished product for quality and customer requirements

Carry out policies and procedures for testing and evaluating product

Responsible for operating mechanical and electrical test equipment

Working to Standard Operating Procedures (work instructions)

Assists in recording of Non-conformities of parts/product

Assisting in controlling/segregating of conforming vs. non-conforming parts/product

Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Quality

Qualifications

Education: Post-Secondary degree in Quality Assurance or equivalent of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

Years of Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of direct or relevant experience

Effective interpersonal skills to influence and lead a team

Skilled at performing examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, components and parts on all types of standard and special products

Experienced in analyzing and determining quality methods and procedures

Provides good judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems

Working knowledge and experience using testing and inspection tools as well as in-depth knowledge of GD&T

Knowledge and experience with PCDMIS, CATIA, Verisurf Inspection Software

Knowledge and experience with PCMM and CMM inspection equipment

Ability to handle multiple tasks and a variety of information

Pay Transparency The salary information is a general guideline only. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

$42—$46 USD
