This Position reports to: Vice‑President, Sales & Marketing

Your role and responsibilities In this role you will be responsible for OEM Sales, OEM Hub & Commercial Engineering teams in the Motion Drive Products Division, in USA ensuring alignment of sales and engineering teams to drive strategic growth. You will lead the efforts in the development and management of OEM growth across our 8 strategic market applications. This involves coaching and cadences with the team managing a disciplined sales process, coaching the team through agreements, proposal development, global pricing development, risk assessment and sales strategies. You will provide oversight for the OEM sales team responsible for proposal development and sales forecasting, and lead the OEM sales team in developing and growing ABB’s relationship and market share through attracting new customers and increasing share with existing customers.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid in New Berlin, WI.

You will be mainly accountable for

Collaborate with other ABB Divisions and the Industry Team to develop sales opportunities.

Manage sales activities with emphasis on strategic profitable growth and predictable forecasting to support S&OP process.

Coach team through pilot and test cases by executing project management process through the OEM Hub and Sales teams with Scope of Work plans.

Develop close working partnerships between dedicated OEM application team sales to establish deep domain expertise per assigned application focus.

Lead cadence calls with OEM sales team for maintaining and expanding customer relationships, to advance and progress opportunities in funnel.

Meet or exceed assigned sales budget in targeted OEM business segment.

Negotiate and make offers in accordance with company procedures.

Maintain regular account summary reports for key OEM accounts.

Drive sales activities and account plans through SFDC, ensuring proper funnel coverage long and short term that support year‑over‑year growth.

Support Product Management & Marketing teams with specific value propositions from each of the application sales teams.

Work closely with channel leadership and Direct Sales Resources to drive OEM pursuits.

Qualifications for the role

15+ years of relevant experience working as sales/ business development with low voltage variable speed drives, motors and automation solutions.

Engineering Degree – Bachelors Electrical preferred or Associate Degree.

Sound knowledge of serial OEMs.

Understanding of customer needs, experience in customer interface.

Strong skills in Salesforce CRM, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI and Microsoft office platform.

Proven track record in exceeding sales targets in competitive markets.

Great communication skills, both written and verbal in English.

Travel expectations > 50% domestic and international. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and passport.

Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
