Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring 2 years' experience, night shifts, and an active OH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), floating to other units within the organization as needed Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 Surgical with Burn unit patient population Call required on a rotational basis Minimum of every other weekend required, with opportunity for additional weekends based on preference and unit needs Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is required Responsibilities include IV starts, medication administration, lab draws, and patient education Must be prepared to float to various units as organizational needs dictate Fingerprinting for Ohio is required and must be completed urgently at the start of contract Locals within driving distance are accepted at the same rate Time-off requests must be submitted up front and built into the contract Former employees must have been away from the facility for at least 6 months to be eligible Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this location
Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand prior to consideration Minimum of 2 years' recent PCU nursing experience required BLS and ACLS certifications required IV start skills, medication administration, lab draws, and patient education required Experience in surgical and burn unit procedures required Epic EMR experience required Previous travel nurse experience preferred Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor
