ACCOUNTING MANAGER - Hybrid Our client is an award‑winning Connecticut‑based manufacturing company (voted Best Place to Work in CT two years running) known for its collaborative, inclusive culture and competitive benefits including medical, dental, 401k, and generous PTO.

Position Summary Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, financial statement preparation and analysis, tax compliance, and audit support. Lead the accounting team while implementing process improvements and ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements in a fast‑paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage global general ledger and chart field maintenance ensuring GAAP and IFRS compliance

Oversee monthly close process including journal entries, accruals, multi‑currency transactions, and period‑end propriety

Lead foreign exchange (F/X) accounting and support international subsidiaries

Manage U.S. A/R and A/P functions with direct reports; ensure proper controls, segregation of duties, and 1099 compliance

Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Support treasury function, develop cash flow forecasts, and manage banking relationships

Supervise cost accounting, inventory processes (raw materials, WIP, finished goods), and analyze product margins vs. budget and prior year

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required

7+ years accounting experience with proven expertise in G/L, monthly close, intercompany transactions, consolidations, inventory, cost accounting, budgeting, reconciliations, and audits

2+ years supervisory/management experience

Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and foreign currency accounting

Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and Microsoft Office

Exceptional technical skills with attention to detail and ability to drive process improvements

Compensation and Benefits Determining compensation for this role depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience, and training; licensure and certification requirements; office location and other geographic considerations; and other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
