Job Description We are looking for a
Full‑time Traveling Superintendent
to manage commercial construction projects for car‑rental clients across the United States. The role requires disciplined organization, strong communication, and a willingness to travel extensively.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Full‑time, year‑round travel anywhere in the U.S.; jobs range from 2 weeks to 6+ months.
Valid, current driver’s license and reliable vehicle (truck or SUV) capable of hauling a trailer.
Pass background check and drug screen.
Provide (2) client or manager references (not subcontractor references) plus (2+) field‑related references.
Work in fast‑paced environments and manage multiple subcontractors concurrently.
Maintain job‑site safety, quality control, and cleanliness.
Communicate and collaborate with the entire project team.
Remain professional, punctual, and physically fit to perform tasks such as ceiling tile replacement and carrying heavy loads.
Create and maintain project schedules, logistics, prioritization, and electronic reporting (daily/weekly reports, RFIs, change orders).
Track and report all expenses to the home office punctually.
Demonstrate problem‑solving skills and an "it can be done" mindset.
Preferred Certifications
OSHA 30
First Aid / CPR
Forklift (renewal possible upon hire if expired)
Preferred Knowledge / Experience
10+ years of commercial superintendent experience.
Understanding of MEP scopes, operations, permitting, and code requirements.
Electrical: general knowledge of NEC/OSHA codes, panel/transformer work, conduit and material types.
Mechanical / Plumbing: main commercial systems and protocols.
Site work: concrete, grading, utilities, asphalt, boring/jacking, site electrical.
Basic IT / communication and parking garage structures knowledge.
Basic interior construction knowledge (demolition, framing, drywall, painting, flooring, HVAC, fire sprinkler, alarm).
Experience in petroleum is a plus.
