Responsibilities
Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to improve manufacturing processes and product design.
Lead process development projects and propose enhancements to existing systems for improved efficiency and safety.
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams including design, quality, and production to develop and implement optimized workflows.
Define machinery, equipment, and tooling requirements and ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
Recommend new machine or tooling designs and collaborate with vendors to resolve equipment design issues.
Lead structured problem‑solving efforts and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
Drive cost‑reduction and waste‑elimination projects to improve profitability and product quality.
Prepare reports, analyses, and presentations on process performance and improvement opportunities.
Support safety and quality initiatives throughout the production environment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering (automotive preferred).
Strong understanding of manufacturing process design, equipment selection, and tooling development.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.
Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
Ability to lead cross‑functional projects and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
Nice to Have
CAD experience.
Certified Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher).
Background in automotive or high‑volume production environments.
Experience with product launches or new process implementation.
Demonstrated success leading cost‑savings and efficiency projects.
