CT Technologist (Rad Tech) We are seeking a CT Technologist to work at St. Joseph Medical Center – Kansas City, MO.

The role specializes in operating CT scanners and X‑ray machines to produce cross‑sectional images of patients’ internal organs and tissues, assisting in diagnosis and treatment planning. The position is full‑time with 12‑hour weekend night shifts (Fri, Sat, Sun) from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am.

Pay:

$56.00 /hr – $65.52 /hr, base rate with competitive differential for nights.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients and ensure proper positioning on the CT table while explaining procedures with empathy.

Operate CT scanners/X‑ray machines, adjust settings to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure.

Monitor patients for comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

Assist radiologists and interpret images; administer contrast agents or perform related procedures as needed.

Ensure quality assurance of CT scanners/X‑ray machines to maintain accurate imaging.

Maintain radiologic supplies and keep equipment in good operating order, following infection control and hygiene protocols.

Participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities and support PIP maintenance.

Maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accreditation (AHA) and ARRT register status.

Qualifications

Graduate of a program accredited by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Radiology license as required by the state.

Effective CT ARRT certification effective 07/01/2015.

Must maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.

CT certified and certified in one other modality; ARRT‑R certification considered.

Knowledge of mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment.

Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Preferred: One year of acute, clinical radiology experience.
