Offit Kurman, an AmLaw 200 law firm, is seeking a proactive and strategic
Business Development Manager
to support the Estate & Trusts, Family Law, and Landlord representation practice groups in advancing their growth objectives and strengthening brand visibility. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and firm leadership across multiple offices, with a strong preference for candidates located near one of our firm’s offices.
The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, bringing a strong understanding of law firm business development and marketing best practices. The position involves direct collaboration with attorneys, including one‑on‑one strategy sessions, to develop tailored business development initiatives and drive measurable results.
Responsibilities
Partner directly with practice group leaders and attorneys to create and implement business development and marketing strategies aligned with firm goals.
Conduct one‑on‑one attorney strategy meetings to identify opportunities for client growth, market positioning, and business expansion.
Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to execute targeted campaigns, content initiatives, speaking engagements, sponsorships, and events.
Lead and support pitches, proposals, and client presentations, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging.
Research market trends, industries, and geographic opportunities to identify prospects and elevate the firm’s profile in key practice areas.
Track business development activity, manage budgets, and measure the success of strategic initiatives.
Support cross‑practice collaboration to strengthen client relationships and encourage firm‑wide growth.
Contribute to the firm’s Origination Culture training program, including facilitating discussions and providing coaching on business development best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
8+ years of business development or marketing experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
Experience supporting estates and trusts, family law, or landlord representation practices preferred.
Deep understanding of B2B and B2C marketing, digital marketing, SEO, and social media strategy.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, lead projects independently, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Excellent communication, analytical, and relationship‑building skills.
