Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Weekend Coverage:
Every other weekend required
Patient Ratios:
1:4
Charting System:
Epic (preferred)
Estimated Weekly Pay:
$1870 - $2000 per week
Floating Requirement:
Travelers are first to float and must be comfortable floating to other units within their scope of experience. Flexibility is essential, and candidates should not have restrictions or special requests regarding floating as long as it is within their experience scope.
Emergency Room Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience (2 years preferred)
Active Registered Nurse license in Maryland or Compact State
BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), CPI, and NIHSS certifications required
Experience in a community hospital setting required
Ability to provide clinical support for neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
Two professional references from recent employers (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN)
Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Must reside at least 50 miles from facility
First-time travel nurses accepted
ER RN Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages and acuity levels
Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, administer blood products, and perform phlebotomy
Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs, start and maintain IVs, and provide central line care
Administer emergency medications and continuous IV sedation
Respond to CVA (stroke), STEMI, trauma, and other critical emergencies
Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, mental/behavioral health conditions, and violent behavior
Apply isolation precautions and manage ventilated patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
Participate in self-scheduling and work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
