Impact You Can Have The Director, Digital Engineering and Delivery is a senior technology leader responsible for shaping, delivering, and scaling digital products that power customer and associate experiences across e‑commerce websites, customer‑facing mobile apps, and associate‑facing mobile applications. This role requires deep expertise in modern engineering practices, large‑scale product delivery, and the ability to collaborate across functions to drive outcomes that directly impact consumer technology and digital commerce. This leader will oversee cross‑functional engineering teams, drive end‑to‑end solutioning and delivery, and ensure platforms are scalable, resilient, and innovative. The Director will partner closely with Product Management, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Platform, and Business Operations to deliver high‑performing, secure, and future‑ready digital experiences.

You’ll Accomplish These Goals By Leadership & Strategy

Lead a team of Engineering Managers and delivery leads across Digital eCommerce and mobile development & delivery.

Partner with senior execs (VP – E‑commerce Consumer Tech) and other senior leaders to define and execute the digital delivery strategy aligned with enterprise priorities.

Translate product roadmaps into scalable technical delivery plans, ensuring resource alignment, sequencing, and prioritization across teams.

Product & Delivery Oversight

Own the full digital delivery lifecycle, from sprint planning and execution to production deployment and post‑launch support.

Ensure successful delivery of features across multiple digital products, driving engineering excellence, release quality, and platform stability.

Champion engineering excellence, agile delivery, continuous improvement, and DevOps maturity across delivery teams.

Provide technical oversight for backend SaaS integrations, microservices, headless commerce platforms, and native mobile app enhancements.

Technical Leadership & Architecture Partnership

Act as a technical thought leader and advisor on solution design, product architecture, and integration strategy.

Collaborate with the enterprise architecture team to ensure delivery aligns with technical standards, enterprise platforms, and long‑term scalability goals.

Provide strategic guidance on leveraging AI/ML capabilities to enhance personalization, customer experience, and operational efficiency across the digital ecosystem.

Guide teams through key decisions involving cloud architecture (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), microservices, APIs, and mobile technologies.

Stay current on emerging technologies and trends in retail, e‑commerce, and digital product engineering.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

Serve as a strategic partner to Product, eCommerce Operations, UX, and peer technology teams to shape product vision and execution plans.

Represent the digital product engineering & delivery function in cross‑functional meetings, senior leadership discussions, and roadmap planning sessions.

Foster strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders to support alignment, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Team Development & Culture

Develop, coach, and mentor a high‑performing team of managers and engineers.

Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and delivery excellence.

Coach leaders and teams to elevate technical solutioning, execution rigor, and collaborative behaviors.

Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within teams and across the broader IT organization.

The Essentials for Success

10+ years in IT, with at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing large‑scale digital product engineering and delivery.

Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale e‑commerce websites, mobile apps.

Experience managing cross‑functional technical teams, including frontend (React/Angular), backend (NodeJS, Java), and mobile (iOS/Android).

Proven expertise in cloud architectures and delivery in AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.

Strong understanding of agile delivery models, Scrum, SAFe, and DevOps principles.

Proven success delivering omnichannel digital solutions in a large‑scale B2C or retail environment.

Experience delivering with headless commerce platforms, cloud‑native architectures, and modern web/mobile development practices.

Demonstrated success leading large initiatives impacting consumer tech, ideally in retail, B2C, or omnichannel environments.

Experience integrating AI/ML enablement in digital experiences (e.g., personalization, conversational commerce, intelligent automation).

Demonstrated experience managing delivery across hybrid and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).

Ability to drive technical decision‑making while balancing speed, quality, and scalability.

Strong communication, influencing, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

The pay range for this position is $143,000.00 – $230,000.00 per year, with opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Full‑time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
