How you’ll make an impact This position leads the maintenance of all critical systems at the LA SiriusXM location. The role requires practical and theoretical knowledge of high‑reliability power systems and detailed expertise in implementing, maintaining, and repairing SiriusXM critical systems. Responsibilities include managing preventative maintenance schedules, coordinating with external vendors, and ensuring reliable operation of all critical infrastructure.
What you’ll do
Operate, maintain, monitor and repair all facets of primary owned and leased infrastructure, including electrical systems, mechanical systems, and building automation.
Review, manage and operate monitoring systems such as Building Management System (BMS), electrical power distribution, pre‑action fire panels, emergency generators and battery monitoring systems.
Support and consult with Corporate Facilities, Engineering, Operations and Security while participating on cross‑functional teams.
Conduct periodic surveys and recommend enhancements or corrective actions to improve system performance.
Oversee third‑party contracts and ensure compliance with specifications and terms.
Implement and supervise preventative maintenance programs for all electrical switchboards, distribution systems, and mechanical systems; maintain inspection records.
Lead vendors, contractors and cross‑functional teams in project implementation.
Supervise vendors during preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
Critical Infrastructure Management
Oversee operation, maintenance and optimization of all critical systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, UPS, generators and fire suppression with a truck‑based support model.
Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize uptime and reliability.
Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and performance evaluations.
Office Space Management
Utilize office space management software (e.g., OfficeSpace Software) to plan, allocate, and optimize workspace utilization.
Coordinate office moves, seating arrangements, and space reconfigurations.
Collaborate with HR and IT departments to support employee needs and enhance workplace experience.
Team Leadership & Reporting
Lead and mentor onsite contracted facilities staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Prepare and present regular reports on facility operations, maintenance activities, and space utilization metrics.
What you’ll need
Associate Degree in Power Engineering, HVAC or related field (Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
5+ years of experience supporting critical systems in a data center, broadcast, or comparable environment.
Availability for emergency support on a 24×7 basis.
Willingness to travel to other company locations or vendor sites.
OSHA 10 training or equivalent safety training.
Knowledge of commercial electrical, mechanical systems and facility operations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to read MEP drawings.
Experience operating Building Management Systems and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Familiarity with Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM) systems.
Ability to troubleshoot critical system elements.
Proficient in MS‑Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Google Workspace documents.
Strong understanding of commercial building power systems (generator/switchgear/parallel gear/ATS/CTS/STS/UPS). Prior experience with Liebert UPS, Square D gear, ASCO gear, and generators is a plus.
Experience with building monitoring system operations.
Ability to work a flexible schedule when required (deployments, hot months, emergency calls, off‑shift, vacation coverage).
Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders and access all facility areas; capable of lifting 50 lbs.
Professional demeanor and decision‑making skills within a high‑pressure critical systems environment.

ITAR Compliance This position requires the use of information or hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). To perform this role you must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Compensation The base salary ranges from $82,000 to $126,000, depending on skills, qualifications and experience. The role may also be eligible for discretionary short‑term and long‑term incentives.
