Job Description We are hiring a Business Data Analyst who turns raw data into actionable insights that drive revenue, optimize operations, and shape product strategy. You will partner with Finance, Marketing, Product, and Operations to answer high-impact questions using SQL, visualization, and clear storytelling.
Core Responsibilities
Translate business questions into SQL queries, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses.
Own key metrics: Define, track, and report on KPIs (ARR, LTV, CAC, churn, conversion funnels).
Build and maintain dashboards in Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or Mode for execs and cross-functional teams.
Conduct deep-dive analyses: A/B tests, cohort analysis, segmentation, forecasting, ROI modeling.
Support decision‑making: Pricing experiments, go‑to‑market strategy, sales pipeline health, customer health scoring.
Data quality & governance: Validate sources, document schemas, enforce consistency across reports.
Automate reporting: Replace manual spreadsheets with scalable, self‑serve data products.
Present findings to leadership and stakeholders with clarity and impact.
What You Bring Must‑Have
3+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role.
Advanced SQL: CTEs, window functions, performance tuning, complex joins.
Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Metabase).
Experience with data modeling (star schemas, dimensional modeling).
Strong business acumen: understand P&L, unit economics, and SaaS metrics.
Ability to tell a story with data, clean visuals, concise narratives, executive summaries.
Bachelor’s in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Nice‑to‑Have
Python or R for statistical analysis, automation, or predictive modeling.
Experience with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap).
Familiarity with dbt (data build tool) for transformation pipelines.
Exposure to cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
Background in SaaS, fintech, e‑commerce, or marketplaces.
