The Quality Technician will evaluate, root cause and fix seat related defect escapes in vehicles at various quality gates across the factory and provide quick feedback to the Quality and Production team at 901 Page Seat Assembly to improve quality KPIs.
What You’ll Do
Perform daily vehicle quality audits at quality gates across the factory to measure and improve quality KPIs
Collaborate with engineering teams to support investigation, containment, and countermeasure implementation
Utilize quality dashboards to quickly observe defect trends and support containment activities
Walk back to point of defect and quarantine suspect parts
Train quality inspectors and new quality auditors when required with boundary revisions and support off‑site quality containments when required
Support special quality projects and dynamic process changes in day‑to‑day work as it pertains to business priorities
Perform defect trend audits to support development of work instructions and quality alerts based on cycle time availability and defect occurrence rates
What You’ll Bring
Ability to interpret seat inspection specifications and standardized work instructions
Ability to work in a team‑based environment with a proactive mindset to achieve common goals
Ability to understand and determine basic causes for manufacturing related defects
Ability to perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting of quality issues that will be referenced by technicians, engineers, and management
At least six months of experience in an automotive, production or quality assurance environment
An understanding of various vehicle parts and fit & finish quality issues and experience with measurement and inspection tools
Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
