Role Overview The ECM Change team is seeking a motivated individual to support our Configuration Management efforts. The applicant will ensure our business systems provide the proper configuration management of engineering change products for new ship designs, ship construction and ship life cycle management. Applicant will interact with other departments including Engineering, Planning, Materials, Design, Program Office, IPDE and the Supervisor of Ship Building.
The majority of the applicant tasking will include performing qualitative reviews of engineering change products (Change Notices and Change Requests), ensuring compliance with all requirements prior to release. This will require familiarity with invoked requirements, computer literacy and attention to detail to be successful.
Key Responsibilities
Review Change Requests/Change Notices to ensure compliance with all requirements prior to release
Authorize documents to be used for construction
Document as built configuration of each hull
Participate in IPDE tasks to support configuration management processes and procedures
Maintain and ensure the integrity of EB3G, TeamCenter and ELCADD
Adapt to changes in requirements from evolutions in the IPDE process
Act as a liaison between the Design Agent, Construction Yard and the IPDE Program to resolve discrepancies
Overtime may be required to support program deadlines and incentive initiatives. This posting is open for either first or second shift. Weekend shifts are required on a rotation basis.
Qualifications Required
Associates degree
Experience with Configuration Management
Preferred
Bachelor\'s Degree
1+ year experience audit and compliance, quality analysis
1+ year experience with EB\'s 3G, ELCADD and Teamcenter systems
Awareness of special emphasis program requirements
Skills
Thorough knowledge of Configuration Management
General Computer Literacy; this position will be almost entirely computer driven and requires the ability to adapt to and operate multiple different pieces of software
Working proficiency with MS Office applications
Ability to read and understand various technical documents
Attention to detail
