Postdoctoral Research Scientist

The Division of Nephrology is seeking a motivated, independent, but team-oriented researcher with experience in human genetics and experimental studies of human genetic variants. The research focuses on human genetic investigations of kidney disease and is directly relevant to clinical medicine. The applicant will design and execute laboratory experiments to uncover the impact of specific genetic variants on gene function by in vitro and in vivo studies. Design and execute laboratory experiments to uncover the impact of specific genetic variants on gene function by in vitro and in vivo studies. Qualifications
Relevant experience in immunology, cell biology, and animal models of kidney disease. Doctoral degree in the relevant field of studies is required. Skills in bioinformatic and statistical data analysis are a plus, including exposure to WES/WGS, GWAS, RNA-seq, single cell sequencing, gene editing, and general familiarity with tools for genome and transcriptome interpretation. Familiarity with statistical principles and methods relevant to computational and functional genomics. Must be collaborative and able to work in a fast-paced environment with an ability to multitask. Must be team oriented, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrate strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Salary
Salary Range:
$72,116 - $75,000 per year. Applications
