What We Are Hiring For New Land Property Management, LLP is hiring a LEASING SPECIALIST for Urbanite Apartments. The Leasing Specialist will focus on attracting new residents, providing tours of the properties, and assisting with resident retention by promoting positive resident relations and helping to organize community events.
Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:
Become very knowledgeable on apartment communities and market individual features, amenities and neighborhoods
Professionally answer questions from current and prospective renters about availability, pricing, amenities, or other concerns
Offer outstanding customer service to current and prospective residents
Conduct tours of apartments to prospective renters
Process completed rental applications and draft leases in accordance with Fair Housing Laws
Prepare welcome packets for new renters
Ensure all lease documents for prospective residents are processed, entered accurately into the property management software
Conduct move‑in and move‑out inspections
Enter work orders for items that need attention
Work with the Maintenance Department to address maintenance concerns and ensure units are ready for re‑rental
Advertise upcoming vacancies on all online marketing sites
Maintain an accurate and up‑to‑date vacancy report daily
Assist the Property Manager to establish monthly leasing/occupancy goals
Conduct market studies
Requirements:
Reliable, produces accurate work, and meets deadlines
Physically able to perform the necessary duties
Strong oral and written communication skills; able to communicate in a professional capacity via telephone, electronic mail, and text message
Strong organizational skills
Enjoys and takes pride in providing an unparalleled customer service experience—warm, friendly and helpful in person, over the phone and via email
Basic computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel; experience with AppFolio or equivalent Property Management software encouraged
Ability to plan and prioritize
Ability to work independently and with diverse groups of people
Prior property management or leasing experience greatly preferred; prior relevant hospitality, customer service or sales experience required
Willingness and ability to work a non‑traditional schedule (weekends)
Compensation And Schedule:
You will be eligible for new lease and renewal commissions, in addition to the hourly rate. Our ever‑growing portfolio offers plenty of opportunities for earning these commissions, as well as potential for growth within the company.
Employment type: Full‑Time
Hours: 9am–6pm during the week and 10am–3pm on Saturdays. You will have Sundays and one weekday off (final schedule to be set with the Property Manager)
