Tri Star Energy is currently seeking an accomplished Employee Relations Manager to join our dynamic Human Resources team at our Store Support Center in Nashville, TN. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive work environment, managing sensitive employee issues, and ensuring compliance with both company policies and applicable employment laws. The Employee Relations Manager will be instrumental in addressing team member concerns, conducting thorough investigations, and collaborating with leadership to enhance employee engagement and retention. Primary Responsibilities Employee Relations Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues.

Investigate employee complaints and conflicts, proposing equitable solutions to disputes.

Coach and guide managers on best practices for performance management and creating positive team dynamics.

Policy Implementation & Compliance

Develop, update, and communicate HR policies to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws.

Ensure fair application of company policies and disciplinary actions, supporting HR compliance audits and recommending process improvements.

Team Member Engagement

Administer grants from the Tri Star Cares team member assistance program.

Design and implement initiatives to boost employee engagement, morale, and retention.

Conduct and analyze stay and exit interviews, collaborating with leadership on action plans to enhance the employee experience.

Facilitate training on conflict resolution, effective communication, and cultural competency.

Performance Management

Collaborate with leadership on team member performance issues and oversee performance improvement plans for leaders.

Guide managers on feedback techniques and support the progressive discipline process with appropriate documentation.

Legal & Regulatory Support

Stay updated on changes to labor laws and industry best practices and coordinate with legal counsel as needed.

Review and update employee handbooks to maintain compliance with applicable laws.

Background Check and Drug Testing Compliance

Assess flagged background checks to determine compliance with hiring criteria.

Facilitate reasonable suspicion drug testing as necessary to uphold workplace safety standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

3-5 years of HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations or labor relations.

In-depth knowledge of employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO, and FLSA).

Proven experience in conducting investigations and managing complex employee relations issues effectively and efficiently.

Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and the capacity to maintain confidentiality.
