Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring strong L&D and mother-baby couplet experience with BLS and NRP certification.
Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three shifts per week Labor, antepartum, postpartum, Level 1 Nursery, and LDRP patient populations Every third weekend is required On-call may be required depending on unit needs Floating within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed Level 3 trauma acute care hospital setting Epic (Excellian) charting system is used and experience is preferred Scrubs are provided by the unit Responsible for caring for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum period May be required to assist with mother/baby couplets and support LDRP care First-time travelers are welcome to apply Pre-start modules required and must be completed before orientation Orientation includes unit-specific EMR training Return staff must have a 3-month gap from last worked shift as permanent or per diem Ideally, no more than 5 days of requested time off during contract Free parking available in unrestricted spaces
Requirements Active MN RN license or eligibility to obtain prior to start (pending license accepted) Current BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery and mother-baby couplets required Prior experience with antepartum, Level 1 Nursery, LDRP, and postpartum care required Level III NICU experience preferred At least one supervisor reference required upon consideration Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility Epic (Excellian) EMR experience preferred
