Position Overview JOB- Quality Engineer • LOCATION- Northamptonshire • TERM- Permanent • SALARY- £35,000-£40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are looking for a Quality Engineer on a permanent basis in the Northamptonshire area to work closely with manufacturing, product development and customer service as a key resource to develop internal manufacturing and service processes with the aim of improving quality, delivery, cost performance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Drive standardisation on processes along with waste elimination and continuous improvement.
Investigate NCRs and establish short & long term goals with PDCA methodology.
Champion zero‑defect mentality in the process and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
Lead internal audits, monitor supplier performance and define process parameters to ensure process capability.
Monitor output, quality & scrap rates; improve on‑time delivery performance.
Maintain records of products and approved suppliers; continually improve QMS processes.
Champion problem‑solving with RCA tools such as 8‑D, 5‑WHY, Ishikawa, FMEA.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
ISO 9001 internal auditing experience.
Experience from the automotive industry preferred.
Self‑motivated individual with a right‑first‑time approach.
Passionate about quality and able to work calmly under pressure.
