About the Role
Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is looking for a Systems Engineer II to join the Precision Navigation (PNav) Systems and Software department within the Air Traffic Navigation, Integration, and Coordination System (ATNAVICS) program.
The role is onsite at our Marlborough, MA facility and involves supporting ATNAVICS program contracts. These contracts include sustainment efforts for the U.S. military and production obligations for an international contract.
What You'll Do
Define and derive systems engineering requirements, including interface definitions and requirement verification and validation.
Support operations concept definition and procedure planning, collaborating with personnel from various organizations.
Address customer issues by developing system and product level requirements, ensuring solutions meet their needs.
Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation, and perform testing.
Perform systems sustainment activities for legacy radar systems, involving troubleshooting, documentation, and testing.
Occasional travel to other locations.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
Must have prior experience generating and delivering technical documentation to stakeholders, including creating, reviewing, and updating system engineering artifacts.
Experience with writing requirements and requirements‑management software (DOORS, Cameo, etc.).
Experience with developing and writing qualification test procedures and test reports.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and the ability to effectively communicate with IPT leaders, hardware and software development engineers, specialty engineers, program managers, and customer representatives.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Prior experience with IBM DOORS.
Prior experience supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) government contract.
Prior experience working in small teams to achieve program cost and schedule objectives.
Prior experience with both waterfall and Agile development processes.
Radar domain experience.
